Born and raised in the small East Texas town of Colmesneil, Sam Wigley is a retired Lieutenant Colonel that served in the Army for over 20 years where he performed a variety of roles in aviation from helicopter pilot to senior manager of flight and aviation logistics & maintenance programs. These roles allowed him to develop piloting skills required to operate lift and attack helicopters, fixed wing and the hard and soft skills required to lead and manage teams as small as 10 people to as large as 800 while managing aircraft fleets ranging in size from 8 to 288 aircraft. He is a graduate of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2001 and was member of the Corp of Cadets, in addition he also has a Masters focused in Adult and Continuing Education from Kansas State University.
His transition to becoming a mortgage loan officer was through the example of customer service provided by Pilgrim Mortgage and the team in College Station and wanting to assist people in the most important and lifelong purchase of their lives. Coming from a people first leadership role to directly wanting to help people with their mortgage needs. He lives in College Station with his beautiful wife Kelly and two beautiful daughters Lucy and Daphne.
